Men v. Boys

I have been reading a lot of articles of late about relationships and seeing some that put men into groups without understanding that men are NOT all alike.  By lumping all men together, the concept of being a gentleman does not come into play. Women, and people in general, have to realize that there are men of character, culture and grace, and then there are boys.  Boys are men who have chosen not to grow up and become wise in the ways of civility, charm, and substance. This post highlights the differences between men and boys.  Ladies, which are you dating? Men, whom are you? Men: See women as the fairer, not weaker, sex Boys: See women as weak and just for sex Men: Realize that to be a leader, you need to be a servant Boys: Only want to be seen as a leader to get the recognition Men: Hold doors, and rise when a woman enters a room or comes to the table, knows how to be a gentleman Boys: Have no idea what those concepts are nor why you should do it for wom...

Men and Women

I am big fan of gender equality, be it in wage compensation, recognition, and respect, but even if we do ever achieve these, men and women will always be different..and viva the difference!! Yes, men are men and women are women and never the twain shall meet, except when the fall in love.  With that said, I feel women do have to be extraordinary JUST to be recognized by most men, and that is sad.  But why? Well, it is because men have TOTALLY different priorities to women, and I think this story will explain why. One day a man decided to retire... He booked himself on a Caribbean cruise and proceeded to have the time of his life, that is, until the ship sank. He soon found himself on an island with no other people, no supplies, nothing, only bananas and coconuts. After about four months, he is lying on the beach one day when the most gorgeous woman he has ever seen rows up to the shore. In disbelief, he asks, "Where did you come from? How did you get here?" She r...

Be My Valentine? (humor)

Oh amore, how we have such great expectations, of passion, and romance, and tenderness, and kindness...especially on Valentine's Day...Well, this story puts those idealistic sentiments to rest.    A couple was out on Valentine's Day shopping at the mall and it was packed. As the wife walked through the mall she was surprised to look up and see her husband was nowhere around.  She was quite upset because they had a lot to do. Because she was so worried, she called him on her cell phone to ask him where he was.  In a calm voice, the husband said, "Honey, you remember the jewelry store we went into about 5 years ago where you fell in love with that diamond necklace that we could not afford and I told you that I would get it for you one day?"  The wife choked up and started to cry and said, "Yes, I remember that jewelry store."  He said, "Well, I'm in the bar right next to it.”  Happy Valentines …

Male Sensitivity

This post goes right to the point of a guy’s ability to truly be sensitive to his spouse’s needs during that most vulnerable time of pregnancy, and how humor can play a part. Touching but oh, so true.  ________________________________________  The hospital class room was full of pregnant women with their partners. The class was in full swing. The instructor was teaching the women how to breathe and was telling the men how to give the necessary assurance to their partners at this stage of the pregnancy.  She said "Ladies, remember that exercise is good for you. Walking is especially beneficial. It strengthens the pelvic muscles and will make delivery that much easier." Just take several stops and stay on a soft surface like grass or a path.  She looked at the men in the room, "and gentlemen, remember, you're in this together. It wouldn't hurt you to go walking with her. The room suddenly got very quiet as the men absorbed this information.  The...

Promiscuity Perspective

Sometimes, you think something may seem one way, when in effect, the perfectly logical explanation is staring you straight in the face.  Here is an example..   If a woman sleeps with 3 men, everyone calls her a slut. But when a man sleeps with 10 girls, everyone calls him a real man. How come? It is very simple Confucius say..."When one lock can be opened by 3 different keys, it's a bad lock. But when on key can open 10 different locks, we call it a master key!"

Hormone Guide for Men

Every woman knows that there are days when all a man has to do is open his mouth and he takes his life in his hands. This is a handy guide that should be carried like a driver's license in the wallet of every husband, boyfriend, co-worker or significant other. Knowledge is power.

Why Men Are Happier

He is a humor about  why guys are happier. Now girls, you know this is true and how much I love you, but guys just have it easy. Yes, yes, yes, it is NOT fair, but it is what it is. Of course, not all women fall into this trap, but at least most of the guys do. Hope this puts a smile on your sunshiny faces? __________________________________________ Men Are Just Happier People: Want Proof? What do you expect from such simple creatures? Your last name stays put. The garage is all yours. Wedding plans take care of themselves. Chocolate is just another snack. You can be President. You can never be pregnant. You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park. You can wear NO shirt to a water park. Car mechanics tell you the truth. The world is your urinal. You never have to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just too icky. You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt. Same work, more pay. Wrinkles add character. Wedding dress $5,000. Tux rent...

Poetry: Men V. Women

As many of you know, due to some recent circumstances I have begun to again write poetry. While the jury is still out on my ability, I thought today’spost would look at the differences between men and women in describing what they want in a partner. These are not only beautiful but insightful as well. Please excuse the fact that I have forsaken humor for contrast and I hope you at least enjoy thinking about these two poems. WOMAN'S POEM: Before I lay me down to sleep, I pray for a man who's not a creep, One who's handsome, smart and strong. One who loves to listen long, One who thinks before he speaks, One who'll call, not wait for weeks. I pray he's rich and self-employed, And when I spend, won't be annoyed. Pull out my chair and hold my hand. Massage my feet and help me stand. Oh send a king to make me queen. A man who loves to cook and clean. I pray this man will love no other. And relish visits with my mother. MAN'S POEM: I pray for a ...
