What did You Do for Christmas? (humor)

I hope each and everyone one of you had a stress free, joyous, wonderful, beautiful, memorable Christmas time? I thought you would enjoy this Fryday humor post as Christmas is celebrated in many different ways, by many different people, and some of those people do not believe, and that is where a good sense of humor comes to play…Hope this brings a smile to your faces!!! The young teacher asked: "What do you do at Christmas time? A Catholic student answered: "Well me and my twelve brothers and sisters go to midnight mass and we sing hymns; then we come home very late and we put mince pies by the back door and hang up our stockings. Then all excited, we all go to bed and wait for Father Christmas to come with all our toys." Then a Protestant child replied: Well me and my sister also go to church with Mom and Dad and we sing carols and we get home ever so late. We put cookies and milk by the chimney and hang up our stockings. We hardly sleep waiting for Santa ...

The Spirit of Christmas

Grab a cup of coffee or tea, curl up in a blanket and enjoy this story about the Spirit of Christmas. I thought this would be an appropriate Christmas post as it is one of the best stories I have read about the Spirit of Christmas, and whether you celebrate Christmas or not, or believe or not, you will enjoy this story. May God (in any form you see the Creator) bless you this Christmas and all through the year…enjoy… The old man sat in his gas station on a cold Christmas Eve. He hadn't been anywhere in years since his wife had passed away. It was just another day to him. He didn't hate Christmas, just couldn't find a reason to celebrate. He was sitting there looking at the snow that had been falling for the last hour, wondering what it was all about and just feeling a little sorry for himself when the door opened and a homeless man stepped through. Instead of throwing the man out, Old George as he was known by his customers, told the man to come and sit by the h...

Hope and a Reindeer

I hope all finds you well during this holiday season and for Christmas. If you believe or not what happened all those years ago, the season is about hope, joy, good will and for a better world. These are now universal thoughts, that were birthed in a little town of Bethlehem. In that vein, and since everyday is Fryday, I would like to share another story of hope..about how Rudolph the Red-nosed reindeer came to pass. We all have a little misery come into our lives now and the, it is what we do with it that counts. Enjoy, and Merry Christmas..   A man named Bob May, depressed and brokenhearted, stared out his drafty apartment window into the chilling December night. His 4-year-old daughter Barbara sat on his lap quietly sobbing. Bob's wife, Evelyn, was dying of cancer. Little Barbara couldn't understand why her mommy could never come home. Barbara looked up into her dad's eyes and asked, "Why isn't Mommy just like everybody else's Mommy?" Bob's j...

What is Love (Kids Know!)

My dear friends…tomorrow the world celebrates in its many ways the birth of a baby that would make humanity whole again and absolve us of our sins. Many, many, many people have argued over, fought and died in defense of and belief in this be they right or wrong, but one thing they all agreed on was his message of love for humanity. So, in the spirit of love I attach this Fryday humor post. Essentially, the question “What does love mean?” was posed to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds. It is said that we are all born poets, as our mother’s hearts beat in iambic pentameter, but that the pressures and stress of life slowly chokes that ability from us. I wonder if it is true about love too? Do we all naturally know how to love instinctively, but slowly move away from that understanding? Hum, I think there is even a saying about this, “Let the children come to me, and do not keep them away, for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Anyway, It seems these young ones explain and demonstrate this compl...
