A Reason, A Season, or A Lifetime

I have always been amazed and sometimes confused as to why people come into my life, and then some years ago I read this poem: A Reason, A Season or a Lifetime that sort of put it all into perspective. People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty; to provide you with guidance and support; to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire...

How to Stay Young?

We all want a fountain of youth, but did you know staying young may be easier than you think? Here are some nuggets worth remembering on the subject.... ________________________________________ 1. Try everything twice. On one woman's tombstone she said she wanted this epitaph: "Tried everything twice. Loved it both times!" …also some mistakes are too much fun to make only once! (except past bad relationships..when it is over, it is over!) 2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down. Get rid of them! (Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches!) 3. Keep learning: Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever... Never let the brain get idle. ‘An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's! 4. Enjoy the simple things. Like a glass of wine, the sun rise / set, holding hands, a kiss on the cheek. Pizza, Popcorn, Walks in the Park, Downpours, Cats & Dogs! 5. Laugh often, long an...
