27 Best Quotes On the Value of Time

The one thing I have come to realize in life is how well or poorly you spend your time, reflects how happy your are. It is also amazing to me how little people value the one thing they cannot control, or create, or get more of: TIME . Because of this, I complied what I believe are the 27 best quotations dealing on the subject.  I hope you enjoy them and feel not they be a waste of your time.    “Until you value yourself, you won't value your time. Until you value your time, you won't do anything with it." --M. Scott Peck  “Does't thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that is the stuff life is made of.” --Benjamin Franklin “How you spend your time is far more important than all the material possessions you may own or positions you may attain.” —Denis Waitley  “Too often man handles life as he does the bad weather. He whiles away the time as he waits for it to stop." --Alfred Polgar "The strongest of all warriors are

Alexander's Three Wishes

On his deathbed Alexander the Great summoned his generals and told them his three ultimate wishes:  The best doctors should carry his coffin The wealth he had accumulated (money, gold, precious stones) should be scattered along the way to his burial His hands should be left hanging outside the coffin for all to see Perplexed by these unusual requests, one of his generals asked Alexander to explain these wishes: Alexander & Aristotle And this is what he said: “I want the best doctors to carry my coffin to demonstrate in the face of death, even the best doctors and physicians have no power to heal. I want the road to be covered with my treasure so that everybody sees that whatever wealth you acquire on earth, stays on earth. I want my hands to swing in the wind so that people understand that we come to this world empty-handed and we leave empty-handed after the most precious treasure of all is spent and exhausted — time.”  Yes, Time is our most precious treasure becau

Until You Win... (motivation)

Sometimes, as we move through life, a few of us get lost..and need a little piece of motivation to show us what it takes to..be the authentic you. For entrepreneurs, this might happen a bit more often than not, but for all of us, we always need a bit of encouragement. Yes, we all go through tough times, and we have a choice.. go forward or to give up.. I pray for everyone .. to keep going. We all want to be something..but to get there ..you sometimes need to just believe in yourself, believe in what you are doing, in the great art you are making, to the world you are changing. Here is a great video and transcription that I hope helps. Where have you been? Why are you here? ..and where are you going? You look at your life, you look what you produce. Is it giving you what you want? Are you living on purpose? Are you living your dream? Are you acting on your ideas? Are you doing all you can do? Have you gotten comfortable? Are you procrastinating? Are you evading your o

Lost in Translation (perspective)

If you have any started up a company or had to run a tightly knit group of go-getters there is really nothing more important that an excellent channel of communications, where each and every party understands what is being communicated. That is why to this day in the Navy a sailor still repeats the orders given by officers..so that both parties understand that it was received, correctly understood and will be executed.  To show how when someone is taken out of their element and put into a seemingly odd place communication becomes critically important, sometimes, important things get lost in translation.  Bubba, a handsome furniture dealer from High Point, North Carolina, decided to expand the line of furniture in his large store, so he decided to go to Paris to see what he could find. After arriving in Paris he met with some manufacturers and selected a line that he thought would sell well back home in North Carolina, and additionally become a US distributor. To cel

Rise and Shine

This is a great motivational piece that I stumbled upon.. it is good for athletes, artists, and entrepreneurs.. learn it well... It's 6:00 AM and your hand can't make it to the alarm clock before the voices in your head start telling you that it's too early, too dark, and too cold to get up out of bed. Aching muscles lie still in rebellion, pretending not to hear your brain commanding them to move. A legion of voices are shouting their unanimous permission for you to hit the snooze button and go back to dreamland. But you didn't ask their opinion. The voice you chose to listen to is one of Defiance. A voice that said there was a reason you set that alarm in the first place. So sit up, put your feet on the floor, and don't look back because we've got work to do. Welcome to the Grind. For what is each day but a series of conflicts between the right way and the easy way. 10,000 streams fan out like a river delta before you, each one promising the path of le
